Elise Kratzer, a policing research analyst in the Policing Research Program, has extensive experience analyzing, managing, and reporting criminal justice data. Ms. Kratzer has worked with law enforcement at local, county, state, and federal levels. She has considerable knowledge of and conducts training in data analysis; data management; report production; and law enforcement policies and practices, specifically in crime and intelligence analysis. Her research interests include improving the collection and use of public safety data, enhancing the relationship between law enforcement and the community, promoting health and wellness among public safety personnel, and recruiting and retaining law enforcement officers. Ms. Kratzer joined RTI in 2021. She has 14 years of experience working as an analyst for the Town of Cary (NC) and City of Durham (NC) Police Departments. Ms. Kratzer is also an analytical subject matter expert for IADLEST’s Data Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS). She previously served as an adjunct instructor for Campbell University.
